The Chinese “four-door” is presented on our market with a “strangled” 1.4 turbo engine, two versions are offered to choose from.
In Russia, the Changan Eado sedan was already sold, but the first generation model failed with us: from 2014 to 2016. Approximately 200 units were sold. But the “four-door” of the second generation, officially presented by the local office today, has much more chances — especially in the empty market.
Recall that in China, the “second” Eado started in 2018, and already in 2019 it was updated, simultaneously receiving the Plus prefix. Since then, the sedan has been upgraded several times at home (the last update was last year), but in the Russian Federation, as well as in other foreign countries, Changan supplies cars after a major restyling almost four years ago. Moreover, we have a Plus with a “sporty” design — this version has a mesh grille (in China and in some other markets there is still an option with horizontal stripes).

In terms of the wheelbase (2700 mm), the Changan Eado Plus matches the Kia Cerato, while in other dimensions the “Chinese” is superior to the “Korean”: the length of our version is 4730 mm, the width is 1820 mm, the height is 1505 mm (dimensions Cerato: 4640/1800/1450 mm). Trunk volume Plus — 500 liters (Cerato — 502 liters).
The Russian version is equipped with a non-alternative petrol turbo four 1.4, which produces 155 hp. and 225 Nm. The engine can be “powered” by the AI-92, it is paired with a seven-speed robotic gearbox with two “wet” clutches. In China, the turbo engine is more powerful (160 hp and 260 Nm), in addition, in the home market, the model is also available with a naturally aspirated 1.6 (128 hp and 161 Nm) in combination with a five-speed “mechanics” or a CVT.< br />

The arsenal of the first includes: LED optics, 16-inch wheels, adjustable steering wheel for reach and height, light sensor, sunroof, front and side airbags, climate control, multimedia system with a 10-inch touchscreen, rear view camera, cruise control, keyless entry system and engine start button, contactless trunk opening system (just go to the back of the car with the key in your pocket). The second equipment includes 17-inch wheels, a standard DVR, front seat ventilation, a panoramic roof, a 10-inch virtual tidy, all-round cameras, an adaptive cruise and a remote engine start function.

Dealers are already taking orders. The recommended price of Changan Eado Plus LX is 2,209,900 rubles, the DLX version is 2,279,900 rubles. For comparison, a 1.5 aspirated BAIC U5 Plus sedan (113 hp) costs from 1,699,900 rubles, a Kaiyi E5 with a 1.5 turbo engine (147 hp) will cost at least 1,959,000 rubles, an Omoda S5 with that the “turbo four” costs from 2,269,900 rubles (Omoda still has a 113-horsepower naturally aspirated engine 1.5 — from 2,159,900 rubles).
Meanwhile, Changan introduced another «four-door» to the Russian market — Alsvin, this is a classmate of our deceased Kia Rio and Hyundai Solaris.
