A California wildfire scorched 1,300 acres of land on Sunday after strong winds ripped through dry brush.
About 20 homes were evacuated and a barn was destroyed, as gusts of up to 20 mph fanned the flames of what was called the Danny Fire about 70 miles north of Los Angeles.
No one was hurt and residents are reported to have returned to their homes. It is not known what caused the fire.

The footage shows black smoke billowing from the flames as a helicopter dropped flame retardant on it to stop it from spreading.
Another footage shows a group of prisoners trained in firefighting by the government's Conservation program Camp helped put out the fire.

The Los Angeles Fire Department said Sunday night the fire was 90 percent contained, adding: “Crews will continue to work through the night. There were no casualties, one barn was destroyed. Avenue D is closed to replace burned out power poles.»
In 2021, wildfires in California burned 2.5 million acres of land, and in 2020, a record 4.3 million acres of land.
