Chelsea will not be drawn into a trade war with Saudi Arabia over H'Golo Kante if their original contract offer stays on the table.
Kante was close to the signing of a new, highly motivated contract. contract with Chelsea, but talks stalled when the midfielder suffered a new injury.
Chelsea have left the offer on the table but have no plans to significantly improve it despite clubs in Saudi Arabia making Kante great deals.
The Frenchman's contract expires at the end of the month and there is now a real possibility that he could leave Stamford Bridge.
It is understood that Saudi officials have traveled to London to present Kante with offers that could be worth up to £86m sterling including bonuses and image rights. .
This far exceeds Chelsea's offer and more than the £300,000-a-week contract that Kante had originally hoped for.
