Russia announced hit in Western tanks in Ukraine

Russian soldiers received their country's highest military award after reportedly destroying four German-made Leopard tanks and five American-made Bradley combat vehicles while repelling a Ukrainian counteroffensive.

Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu was shown on state television awarding the «Gold Star of the Hero of Russia», Russia's highest military award, to soldiers who claimed to have destroyed enemy tanks and armored vehicles.

The Ministry of Defense has published several videos and photos in recent days, showing numerous attacks on Ukrainian armored vehicles and tanks from Ka-52 attack helicopters and drones.

Footage released by the ministry on Saturday shows drones attacking tanks in the Zaporozhye region, where Kiev forces have so far concentrated their counteroffensive.

The video is confirmed to have been filmed two miles south of the village of Malaya .
