H1st Vision concept car showcases technology Renault plans to use

The show car, whose name can be deciphered as Human First Vision, is based on the Renault Scenic concept introduced last year Vision.

Six French companies – Atos, Dassault Systemes, Orange, Renault Group, STMicroelectronics and Thales – joined a consortium called Software Republique a couple of years ago. Together they are developing various innovative technologies, they decided to implement their developments in a consortium with the assistance of the automaker Renault with the help of a concept called the H1st Vision.

The presentation took place in Paris, as part of the Viva Tech exhibition. The name of the show car stands for “Human First Vision”, and is based on the Renault Scenic Vision concept, presented in May 2022. Recall that the serial crossover, which will be based on last year's concept, will appear in 2024. It is based on the CMF-EV Modular Electric Vehicle Platform.

The Renault Scenic Vision is powered by a combination of several sources of electricity. So, the installation includes a 218-horsepower electric motor borrowed from the Megane E-Tech Electric, but located on the rear axle; a 22 hp electrochemical generator, a 2.5 kg hydrogen tank, and a 40 kWh battery. The company said that the combined range of such a concept reaches 800 km.

The company said that the H1st Vision concept has a purely electric “stuffing” (a hydrogen electrochemical generator is not provided). However, the consortium decided not to talk about the characteristics of “green” technology.Software Republique made a very ambitious statement that the concept software is protected from hacker attacks. It was also equipped with a complex of a camera in the cabin and biometric sensors located in the seat belt and in the steering wheel, which takes the place of the usual steering wheel. The task of this “set” is to monitor the health and condition of the driver. The consortium explained that the system activates certain algorithms, if it recognizes anxiety, stress, aggression – it is assumed that they will be able to return the condition of the motorist to normal.

As another innovation, the creators introduced the function of recognizing drivers (from the list of saved profiles) from the image received from the cameras, due to which the system automatically loads individual settings for each rider. The list of “innovations” also included the Softy virtual assistant, which received the design in the form of an animated face (appears on the display of the multimedia system). By the way, other automakers are already using similar technologies. the bottom line is that during peak load, the electric car, at that moment connected to the outlet, will be able to direct the charge to the electrical network. In this case, the owner will be paid, and at a more convenient (less busy) time, he will be able to charge the battery of his vehicle.
