On June 17 and 18, the country's best racers are waiting for fans at the Kazan Ring circuit. This year's only round of the championship and the Cup of Russia in G-Drive circuit racing of the SMP RSKG Touring on the track near the capital of Tatarstan will take place very soon, on June 17 and 18. Fans of drive, uncompromising struggle and good rest are waiting for a real Festival of Speed, which will allow you to see the world of motorsport from the inside.
Seven dynamic races will fly by unnoticed, because each race will give vivid impressions from the sound of racing engines, risky overtaking and sincere emotions of the winners.
Pilots of five classes will start on the Kazan Ring circuit at once on vehicles filled with high-tech fuel G-Drive . Gasoline from the Gazprom Neft filling station network helps racers achieve improved technical performance under extreme loads. And its quality is controlled by a mobile laboratory, which is located on the circuit throughout the entire duration of the competition.
Special attention at the third stage — to the participants of two international classifications.
In the category SMP TCR Russia(Touring) presents racing versions of popular cars, prepared in accordance with the requirements of the FIA WTCR World Championship. These are 350-horsepower Audi RS3, LADA Vesta, Cupra Leon, Hyundai i30 N and Elantra N. Fans from Tatarstan will not be indifferent to the success of the pilots of the TAIF Motorsport team: Dmitry Bragin (five-time class champion, winner of the European Cup) is in the lead in this standings, his partner Pavel Kalmanovich takes the third place before the Kazan round. Between them is Kirill Ladygin, winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, two-time winner of the European Cup, playing for the AVTOVAZ team.
In class SMP GT4 Russiaeven more powerful and effective models are presented. As in the rest of the world, a dozen and a half supercars start here. The indescribable sound of six- and eight-cylinder turbocharged engines will give an unforgettable experience — as well as the courage with which the pilots handle their cars. The standings are led by Mercedes-AMG GT4 drivers: international race winner Rinat Salikhov, young and energetic Danila Ivanov, and two-time winner of this class Denis Remenyako. The participants of the BMW M4 and Toyota Supra intend to win back — so the race in Kazan will be hot.

In Super-production250-horsepower LADA Vesta dominate: Mikhail Mityaev and Leonid Panfilov placed on the first and third lines of the protocol. However, the pilots on the Honda Civic are not going to give up — the most successful of the adherents of this brand, Nikolai Vikhansky, is now the second. And the pilots on the Subaru BRZ, who for several years were the main competitors of the AVTOVAZ team, obviously have not yet said their decisive word.
Class Touring Lightbloomed this season — and gave us the debut of the racing Audi A1 with 200 hp. Two pilots who have chosen this premium hatchback as their weapon at once are in the top three: Artem Fridman is third in the standings, Nikolai Karamyshev is second. And on the first stage — Mikhail Simonov, who spent the last stage behind the wheel of an already proven Volkswagen Polo! True, in Kazan he is ready to risk an experiment — and get behind the wheel of a Skoda Fabia, for which this race will be a debut. Will such a decision be correct?
Class S1600until recently it was called National, and it was dominated exclusively by LADA models. In recent years, it has been won by pilots on Korean cars (albeit, of course, Russian assembly). And this year, after the first stage, the athletes on the Kia Rio are again ahead: Artem Antonov from Smolensk and Vasily Korablev from Kazan. But it is all the more pleasant that the third position is occupied by the Penza pilot Mikhail Dralin, who is faithful to his LADA Granta — and it proves that the domestic model allows you to claim victory!
However, racing is far from the only thing worth going to the outskirts of Kazan for this race weekend. Both on Saturday and Sunday, viewers will be able to plunge into the atmosphere of the G-Drive Speed Festival of the SMP RSKG. The show program includes:
