This year, Changan has already introduced six new products to the Russian market: the CS85 coupe-shaped SUV, the CS95 and Uni-T crossovers, the Uni-V liftback, the Alsvin and Eado Plus sedans. But the brand is not going to stop there — two more premieres have been announced. The silhouettes of upcoming models — a pickup truck and another SUV — are displayed on the local consumer site Changan with the traditional «coming soon» promise. The names have not yet been disclosed, but the main introductory ones are still there. Let's start with the truck.

Recently, a pickup appeared in the catalog of one of the official Changan dealers. So, if you believe the seller, then they bring us a model that started in China only at the end of last year. At home, this car is called Lantuo (also known as Lantop), it is a more luxurious version of Changan's Kaicene F70 (Kaicene is a sub-brand of the company; F70 has been in service since 2019). And the latter, in turn, was made together with the PSA concern (in Stellantis, the French auto giant will merge with the Italian-American FCA in 2021). Well, let us recall that the «Chinese» have a brother from Peugeot — Landtrek.

Apparently, as in other export markets, we will sell the Changan pickup under the name Hunter, while, according to the dealer's website, the Russian version was also assigned the prefix Plus (perhaps so as not to conflict with the UAZ).

The model has a frame chassis with a two-lever front and a solid rear axle. In China, a pickup truck is offered in two versions — short and stretched. The length of the first option is 5350 mm, the distance between the axles is 3180 mm; indicators of the long-wheelbase version — 5600 and 3430 mm, respectively. Dimensions of the loading platform of a standard pickup truck: 1600/1595/500 mm, for an extended platform, the length of the platform is 1850 mm. It is assumed that they will sell an elongated version in the Russian Federation.

On the dealer's website for Changan Hunter Plus, a 2.0 petrol turbo four with a capacity of 233 hp, an eight-speed automatic and all-wheel drive are announced. In the Celestial Empire, the model is also provided with a two-liter turbodiesel from Great Wall (163 hp), which is combined with a six-speed mechanics. press release from Changan himself.
As for the upcoming crossover, we have long been promised the CS75 Plus — that is, the second generation model. It is possible that this particular SUV “hangs” on the Russian website of the brand. In China, the “second” CS75 debuted in 2019, since then it has gone through several restylings (the last one in the spring of 2023), and the previous crosses are still in service there.
