The festival of speed at KazanRing Canyon gave bright emotions to pilots and fans. The Kazan stage of the championship and the Cup of Russia in automobile circuit racing, united in the G-Drive series of the SMP RSKG Touring, turned out to be eventful. Over 3,000 spectators visited the KazanRing Canyon autodrome in two days. In seven races, they saw everything: a flying supercar, and a burning hot hatch, and the triumph of the winners, and the emotions of those who turned their luck away. In between races, the entertainment of the Festival of Speed did not let you get bored — from professional racing simulators by SMP Racing Esports to a competition for the most unusual tuning car.
Kazan is one of the recognized capitals of domestic motorsport. Since the 90s, the leadership of the Republic of Tatarstan and its patrons have paid great attention to the development of racing infrastructure and the creation of conditions for the realization of athletes. It is especially pleasant that following the results of the races this weekend, several pilots from Tatarstan, competing in different classes, received awards at once. And, of course, I am glad that it was at our stage that the TAIF Motorsport team celebrated its 20th anniversary — my sincere congratulations and wishes of success to the well-deserved team! Oleg Petrikov, head of the Russian motorsport development program SMP Racing
Regardless of the class, all cars of the stage were filled with high-tech G-Drive fuel, and the quality of gasoline was controlled by a mobile laboratory that conducts regular checks at gas stations of the Gazpromneft network.

On Saturday, the performances of the SMP GT4 Russia international category pilots were remembered: three supercars were damaged in both races. Daniil Ivanov was the first to cross the finish line each time, but in the second race he was punished for cutting off the track — and he was deprived of victory. Thus, after reviewing the results on Saturday, the driver on the Toyota Supra was able to earn bronze: Andrey Solukovtsev lost only to Rinat Salikhov and Anton Nemkin, who traditionally drive Mercedes-AMG GT4.
Sunday's supercar race brought the Japanese coupe top honors for the first time since the start of the season! Sergey Titarenko, who made his debut in the SMP GT4 Russia class this year, had a brilliant start, repulsed the attacks of his rivals and spent most of the time in the leader's status, increasing his lead over Anton Nemkin and Denis Remenyako.
In another international standings SMP TCR Russiadebutants of this season have brightly shown themselves. SMP Racing pilots Vladimir Atoev and Alexander Smolyar, who only recently got their hands on Hyundai cars from the Lukoil Racing team, finished first and second on Saturday. And on Sunday they successfully broke through from the end of the back of the field — but the judges punished Smolyar for a rough fight with Pavel Kalmanovich and moved him from third to ninth place. The bronze went to Atoev.
In the same race, a literally bright and dangerous episode took place: a Honda Civic of the Super-production class broke out. Yesterday's silver medalist Roman Golikov not only lost a potential third place, but also made the fans worried. It took him about half a minute to stop and get out of the burning car. After that, he was provided with appropriate medical care — but this is a clear blow to his championship ambitions. After all, the second race of the weekend was won by Mikhail Mityaev in a factory LADA Vesta, who was the class leader before the Kazan round. The second on Sunday was Maxim Turiev on a similar model, the third was Nikolay Vikhansky (Honda Civic) again. class Touring Lightboth races of the stage were won by Egor Sanin. Moreover, if on Saturday he started from pole position, then on Sunday he started from 10th place. Nevertheless, there were no competitors for his latest generation Audi A1. And the second place is again taken by the pilot in a Skoda Fabia with a similar 1.5-liter turbo engine — only if the day before it went to Andrey Petukhov, then today — to Mikhail Simonov. Bronze this time was won by Stas Novikov, who also drives the current Audi A1.
Class S1600, as on Saturday, pleased with a tight fight. For the first time in his career, Kirill Zinoviev won the victory on the Hyundai Solaris — an excellent continuation of Saturday's initiative, when he became the third. Artem Antonov this time moved up to second place, and Vasily Korablev added a bronze award to yesterday's silver. it was possible to follow the events of the stage on the TV channels of the Match TV group — moreover, the races of the SMP GT4 Russia and SMP TCR Russia classes were broadcast live on the federal channel MATCH. Review programs lasting 24 and 52 minutes will be aired next week.
Broadcasts of all races on the VK Video platform were watched by hundreds of thousands of viewers.
The next stage of the G-Drive series of the SMP RSKG Touring will be even more eventful. On July 8 and 9, more than 100 pilots will gather at the Igora Drive circuit, competing in 7 classes of the championship and the Russian Cup, as well as the RAF Cup.
