Analog Opel Insignia from Buick is not going to rest: photo of the updated model

The appearance of a large passenger car has been corrected, but the interior of the reform has hardly been touched. As before, the car will be available with a choice of two turbo engines.

In Europe, the release of the Opel Insignia liftback and station wagon ended last year, while the American market, where cars were sold as Buick Regal, the family left even earlier — in 2020. But in the Middle Kingdom, the production of the model continues, and the car is not going to rest: there it is also a Buick, but for the Chinese they do not make five-doors, but a sedan. The four-door survived the previous restyling almost three years ago, and now the revised Buick Regal is on the way. Pictures of such a sedan were previously leaked by the Ministry of Industry of the People's Republic of China, but they were only fragments. Now the car was photographed in full growth: these shots were replicated by many local media, among which was the Cheshi publication.

They tried to bring the appearance of the Buick Regal to the current image of the brand, albeit according to a simplified program: in particular, the models did not get two-tier optics (the headlights were generally the same) and a full-fledged «shark» nose. From the new — grille and front bumper. Well, the sedan also received a redesigned Buick emblem, and only a different logo appeared in the cabin. It is not yet known whether the “sported” version of the GS has remained in service.

Dimensions, obviously, have not changed. The length of the current Buick Regal sedan is 4904 or 4913 mm (depending on version), width — 1863 mm, height — 1461/1462 mm. The wheelbase is 2829 mm.

It is expected that the restyled Buick will be offered with the same engines. We are talking about petrol turbo fours 1.5 and 2.0 with a capacity of 169 and 237 hp. respectively. Both engines are combined with a nine-speed automatic.
