Pilot 'drops drugs' on villages after fighter jet takes off over nuclear plant fears

A Rafale fighter crashed into the shadow of an airplane as it flew over a nuclear power plant. According to reports, a pilot dropped an illegal drug load after a fighter jet took to the air to hide his light aircraft as it accidentally flew over a nuclear power plant.

French authorities spotted a “tourist aircraft” on radar as it flew by over the highly secure airspace of Fessenheim in the Haut-Rhin department in Grand Est on the border with Germany.

The plane that flew over the border from Germany flew completely illegally over the territory of the station, two reactors of which were shut down in 2020 due to for their age and location in the zone of seismic activity.

After an alert was issued, the French National Air Operations Center contacted the pilot and told him to change course, but to no avail.

As a result, the authorities took off the Rafale fighter to monitor the ship and force it out of the no-fly zone.

The fighter jet then escorted a small plane as it flew south and saw it drop several “packages” over the Ardèche mountains.

The plane eventually landed on the Lanes airstrip near from Aubin, where the pilot jumped out and fled.

“We didn't think it could happen here”,

Later, the natives of Mars and Lachapelle-sous-Chaneac reported to France. Blue, they came across several packages of drugs that were identified as methamphetamine, an illegal drug in the same class as cocaine and other hard street drugs. He has many nicknames – the most common are methamphetamine, crank, chalk or speed.

“My father heard the sound of Rafale. He thought it odd that they were maneuvering over the weekend, but he wasn't particularly worried about it,” Françoise Roche, mayor of Mars with a population of 270, told local radio station France Bleu.

“Other residents saw many gendarmes without knowing why. This, of course, surprised me a little. We didn’t think it could happen here,” the mayor said.

A hunt was launched, and a few hours later, French special forces managed to track down the mysterious pilot that night.

The suspect has a Polish citizenship and is already known to the police for drug-related crimes.

Police believe they have seized at least part of the drug packages.

Methamphetamine can also be used to make crystal methamphetamine, commonly used as a “club drug” taken while partying at nightclubs or at rave parties. It is highly addictive.

In recent months, France has seen a significant surge in shipments of class A drugs from South America, especially in the port of Le Havre.
