Some Conservative MPs in Red Wall constituencies have demanded a complete ban on social transitions in schools.
Ms Keegan also appears to have dealt a blow to Harry Potter actors Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson after they publicly denounced author JK Rowling for her gender-critical views.< /p>
“You have people getting fired, people losing their jobs, actors not talking to the writers who created them, it really became a very tense, venomous argument. We need to tone down the heat,” she said.
Elsewhere in the interview, she called the strikes at universities “outrageous” and insisted that teachers stop their “very wrong” strikes in light of the 5.4 percent wages. A raise awarded by the Board of School Teachers last year.
“The reality is that they have been on strike ever since. So they got what they wanted, and then, you know, it didn't stop.»
