The Haval H6 SUV of the current, third generation debuted in 2020, later it had hybrid and coupe variants – each with its own design. At the same time, the previous, “second”, cross is still in service. The 6-series family remains the most popular among the rest of the Great Wall-owned brand, although sales have fallen: according to BestSellingCarsBlog, approximately 78,500 cars (-31%) were sold in China from January to May of this year. And now the time has come for the planned restyling of the “third” Haval H6, the manufacturer himself published images of the refreshed cross today. It is curious that the SUV has not changed as expected.

The fact is that back in February, the photo H6 was added to the database of the Ministry of Industry of China with a “traditional” body, but with the appearance of the “coupe” H6S. Then, many local specialized media felt that this is exactly what the updated standard SUV would look like. As a result, the model turned out to have a completely different appearance.

So, the look of the Haval H6 was adjusted to the brand's newest hybrids – Xiaolong and Xiaolong Max. The front end was designed in the style of the first cross: the “six” also got a smooth “nose”, the radiator grill is located lower, and it is now divided into two parts. They also replaced the bumper. The H6 headlights have the same shape, but the diode filling is different. In addition, the Haval H6 has new taillights, again in the style of the Xiaolong family.

The dimensions of the restyled crossover have not yet been announced. The length of the current standard H6 of the third generation is 4653 mm, width – 1886 mm, height – 1730, wheelbase – 2738 mm. The dimensions of the car in the previous certification pictures: 4711/1940/1730 mm, the distance between the axles is the same 2738 mm.
There are no pictures of the interior yet. It is possible that they will install new virtual tidy and multimedia system inside, they can still refresh the finishing materials.

In the February certificate, a 2.0 petrol turbo engine with a capacity of 238 hp was announced. The current Haval H6 can also be bought with a two-liter engine, only it produces 211 hp. And the pre-reform crossover is available with a 1.5 turbo four with 154, 169 or 184 hp. The hybrid has two versions – regular and rechargeable, each has a setup based on a 1.5 turbo engine. By the way, after restyling, the petrol-electric “six” may well be transferred to a new Hi4 installation.

The updated Haval H6 should make its premiere before the end of this year. Meanwhile, some Chinese media believe that the SUV that was previously exposed in the photo of the Ministry of Industry can also get to dealers – as another member of the family.
In Russia, neither the “second” nor the “third” Haval H6 was not officially sold. But we are about to start the Haval M6 SUV, which is made on the basis of the first generation of the “six”.
