The Conservative Health Minister suggested that Labor's election victory could be inevitable due to an explicit slip of the tongue.
Maria Caulfield made a mistake during an interview with Sky News in which she asked the question is what the Labor Party's national environmental policy will be «when they enter government.»
Her comments came as London Mayor Sadiq Khan insists. with the expansion of the Ultra Low Emission Zone (Ulez) to the outskirts of London.
Ms Caulfield said: «I think people are worried about Labor doing this in London where they are in power, what will they do to the rest of the country when they get into government?»

When Ms. Caulfield asked if she meant «if» rather than «when», Ms. Caulfield replied: «Well, absolutely, it worries people.
«If that's what they do when they're in power in London, what will they do if they get into government?»
Alison McGovern, the shadow employment minister, after appearing on the program after Ms Caulfield, said the health secretary » seems more self-satisfied than I» regarding the Labor victory.
Ms Caulfield's comments come as the Conservatives continue to persecute Labour. in the polls, and a YouGov poll last month showed that half of the Conservative MPs do not expect to win the next election.
The Conservatives continue to attack Labor for running London under Khan and Wales, under the leadership Mark Drakeford of Welsh Labor.
Over the past few weeks, clear dividing lines have been drawn between the two parties in their approach to net zero policy, with Labor voicing opposition to Rishi Sunak's new wave of oil and gas exploration licenses and Ulez's continued expansion.

Last month, the Tories clung to the outer London office of Uxbridge in a by-election that many saw as a de facto referendum on Oulez. Mr Khan said he «continued to listen» to Londoners and should offer those with the most polluting cars £2,000 to buy a qualifying car.
Responding to Mrs. on Khan, Ms Caulfield said: «I think it's a wake-up call for Labor that Ulez's accusation is so unpopular, but the multi-thousand-pound scrappage scheme doesn't compensate people who are already struggling with the cost of living.
< p>«Labor's solution to environmental problems is to raise taxes on the people.»
Ms Caulfield told the Telegraph: «From what I've read, it's clearly a hypothetical 'when' and I've clarified that . on the show this morning…I made it very clear that this is an «if» on Times Radio and LBC.
«This is a real issue that people are experiencing and I have been contacted by many residents who are now concerned that the damage Labor is doing to the people of London is only a fraction of what the country can expect «if» they ever return to government.
