The biggest concern for the automaker is the fact that the software may not display a power loss warning due to an electrical system failure. The recall is for 778 vehicles manufactured between October 22, 2021 and June 29, 2023.
NHTSA explains that software versions 2.0.64 and older may not respond properly to an inverter power module failure, which could result in loss of power without warning, the recall states.
This can be easily resolved with a wireless (OTA) software updates that are free for car owners.
The second tip refers to the camera image rear viewis not displayed when the driver engages reverse, which reduces visibility and increases the risk of injury or accident and thus does not comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 111. The procedure applies to 59 vehicles built between November 24, 2021 and January 29 2023.
The issue will also be fixed with a free over-the-air software update and owners will be notified by email by September 25, 2023.
The third recall is also related to a visibility issue, as the wipers may not work due to the wiper arm nuts which can loosen, increasing the risk of an accident. 5,523 vehicles are potentially affected, all of which were built between October 22, 2021 and June 13, 2023.
Specialists will inspect, tighten the wiper arm nuts and, if necessary, will replace damaged parts at no cost to owners.
The automaker currently has three more recalls active and is working on a fix for its only model.
