The former Briton Airways Concorde was on the road again on Wednesday, but not in the way you might imagine.
The supersonic jet, once the world's fastest commercial aircraft, has been taken out of the Intrepid Museum of the Sea, Air and Space in New York City for restoration in front of a crowd of eager aviation enthusiasts.
It took about two hours to lift the plane from Pier 86 to a barge, which then transported it across the Hudson River to the Brooklyn Navy Yard, where it will undergo a three-month refit.
