The British brand wants to start from scratch. And from the new all-electric range powered by JEA.
The new Jaguar brand development strategy became known in early 2021. According to former head of JLR Thierry Bolloret, the plan, called Reimagine, involves the abandonment of all previous developments. So, relatively affordable cars, the seven-seater Jaguar J-Pace crossover, which was supposed to be based on the MLA platform, as well as the flagship XJ electric liftback on the same “trolley”, were forgotten, and this project was at the final stage.

Thierry Bollore predicted that the Jaguar I-Pace electric crossover present in the current range would become a kind of connecting bridge between the current models and the new completely “green” line, the first-born of which, according to the plan, should debut at the end of 2024, and it will go on sale in 2025- m.
However, according to the British Autocar, citing current JLR CEO Adrian Mardell, the Jaguar I-Pace, which appeared in 2018, will not live up to the generation change and will not be part of the brand's future lineup. So far, the manufacturer has not announced the exact date of parting with the current line of cars and with the I-Pace in particular. It is only known that this will happen closer to 2025.
According to the current head of JLR, currently the crossover The Jaguar I-Pace is sold primarily in the UK and mainland Europe. This model helps the company to comply with the norm in terms of the level of emissions of harmful substances into the atmosphere (those companies that do not fit into this norm have to pay a large fine).
The cars of the upcoming lineup will belong to the luxury segment and will be based on the new JEA (Jaguar Electrified Architecture) platform, which was designed for the company to order. It is expected that such electric vehicles will have a long wheelbase, which will provide solid space in the cabin. There are no more precise characteristics yet.
It is known that the first of the promised three new Jaguar products will be a car that is designated as a “four-door GT” in terms of cost from 100,000 pounds (equivalent to about 12.4 million rubles at the current exchange rate). The maximum power reserve on a single charge for the firstborn will be about 700 km. So far, official information about the other two new Jaguar models has not been disclosed.

According to Adrian Mardell, who during an interview with the publication «looked» into the future of the Jaguar lineup, it is expected that the sales volume of the future line will be about 4,000 cars per month. At the same time, he noted that in the first quarter of the current financial year, the brand sold a little more than 5,000 copies monthly. JLR has unveiled a new logo made up of these three letters. The abbreviation is now used without deciphering, as the Land Rover brand was decided to be divided into three separate brands — Range Rover, Defender and Discovery.
