The oversight was quickly picked up by opposition politicians, with Angela Eagle, a senior Labor Party official, tweeting in response: «I think 'everything', Prime Minister, I think.»
Mary Kelly Foy, MP from the Durham City Labor Party called the tweet «embarrassing», adding: «Epic communications failure by the Prime Minister. Clearly an avid football fan.»
Mr. Sunak sent an open letter to the Lionesses ahead of Sunday's game, saying he would «watch and cheer for the team».
