Harry Brooke makes a sweeping statement England have enjoyed a brilliant century in the 100, just a week after being dropped from the World Cup team.
Brook scored 105 goals and not just 42 goals out of 158 scored for his team. Northern Superchargers against Welsh firemen at Headingley. Brook hit a total of 11 fours and seven sixes, scoring 10 of three, with only one other teammate hitting 15 innings.
It was the fastest hundred in the history of the tournament. Only two other men — Will Jacks and Will Smeed — have earned hundreds of points in the competition (both last season), and Tammy Beaumont was the first in the women's competition this season.

Brooke did this amid the fact that last week he was excluded from the England squad for the World Cup. He missed it in part due to the retirement of Ben Stokes, but England also decided to take on the likes of David Malan and Liam Livingston in his place. They could make changes to the 15-man roster before the end of September, and performances like this could prompt a change of mindset.
Brook's great lone arm wasn't enough as the Welsh Fire were chased by a total of 10 balls left, keeping them hopeful to reach the final. Brook performed an athletic juggling feat on the edge of the field to help fire Johnny Bairstow.

Earlier this year, Brook played only three ODIs, all in South Africa, but has covered other formats, both internationally and domestically.
Brook was stolid when interviewed about it, but he is believed to have gone mad at the news.
«He [Stokes] is one of the best cricketers ever, so I can't complain, can I?» Brooke said. «Obviously it's frustrating [to be omitted] but there's nothing I can do about it right now, just move on.
«I try not to think about it anymore. I haven't talked much to [coach] Matthew [Mott] or [Captain] Jos [Battler] They said that with the return of Stokesey, I would probably miss this time.»
