Mother Louis Rubiales, the embattled president of the Spanish Football Association, was hospitalized on her third day of hunger strike in a Spanish church.
Ángeles Bejar, 72, a retired hairdresser who is reportedly suffering from heart and kidney problems, was escorted out the back exit of the Iglesia de la Divina Pastora in Motril, Granada, shortly after 6:00 p.m. local time in Monday.
Grandmother used to say: “I'll stay here as long as my body can handle it; I don't mind dying for justice because my son is a decent man.”
It was Mr. Rubiales who reportedly convinced his mother to end the strike.
Dozens around 6:30 p.m. local time, a priest named Antonio appeared instead.

He said Ms Béjart had left “10 minutes ago”. ” and felt “weak and faint.”
He added: “Her feet were swollen and she was tired. She was very anxious and tense.”
She was taken to the emergency room of the Santa Ana Hospital in Motril.

Ms Béjart went on a hunger strike in response to her son's suspension following his kiss on the pitch with soccer player Jenny Hermoso after her team defeated England in the Women's World Cup final.
On Monday evening, Spanish prosecutors said, that begins a preliminary investigation into sexual violence.
