Coach Chris Eubank Jr. is charged with two crimes with a firearm after a gun was allegedly found in his suitcase at the airport.

The weapon was reportedly found during a baggage check at the airport when McIntyre was trying to fly out of the country to Atlanta in the United States.

McIntyre, 53, was taken into custody ahead of a preliminary plea hearing at the Royal court on October 9th. He was charged with possession of a Smith & Wesson pistol and seven rounds of ammunition.

Greater Manchester Police said in their initial statement: “At around 10:45 am on Sunday 3 September 2023, police officers were called to report a possible discovery of firearms in luggage by Manchester Airport officials. After an initial security check, GMP officers were present and the firearms were confiscated. The man was subsequently arrested for possession of a firearm and remains in custody for further questioning.”

McIntyre, who also trains Terence Crawford, is widely regarded as one of boxing's top trainers as he also trains Terence Crawford. helped featherweight champion Jamel Herring and Amir Khan.
