Avito Auto experts analyzed the supply and demand statistics for used foreign cars in Russia in June-August 2023. According to the platform, in the summer of 2023, the demand for foreign brand cars increased by 14.8% compared to the same period last year, and the number of ads for the sale of used foreign cars remained at the same level as last year. The most offered brands in the segment were Toyota, Kia, Hyundai, Volkswagen and Nissan.
According to the results of the three summer months of 2023, the average price of used cars of foreign brands in Russia amounted to 1,200,000 rubles.
The share of foreign cars in the supply structure of used cars continues to grow. So, in the summer of 2023, it amounted to 74.2%. For comparison, in June-August last year, the figure was 73.1%.
The upward trend in the number of foreign cars on the used car market continued this summer — the share of used foreign cars in June-August amounted to 74.2% in this segment. Importing cars from abroad is one of the factors that can satisfy the demand of buyers for cars of foreign brands. According to Avito Auto experts, the supply of used cars from abroad on the platform in June-July 2023 increased by 181.1% compared to the same period last year, and demand — by 81.2%. It is noteworthy that the ratings of the most offered brands and models in Russia remained unchanged compared to the same period last year.
