Crossover Honda Elevate went on sale: Creta competitor at a price of 1.3 million rubles

At the moment, the Japanese brand SUV is offered with a non-alternative aspirated, you can choose a box. Four-wheel drive model is not allowed.

The world premiere of the Honda Elevate compact cross took place in early June in India, and its release was also launched there. At the same time, the SUV will not be a local exclusive: the model is officially declared global, although the list of countries where it will appear has not yet been announced. Most likely, subsequently the cross will reach Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Latin America. Well, the manufacturing homeland became the debut market for Elevate: the Indian division of Honda gave a start to sales.

Recall that the SUV is built on a platform that the company has designated as Global Small Car: on the same “trolley” are made, for example, the “world” crossover HR-V and the City family (sedan and hatchback). However, in the case of Elevate, we are most likely talking about the simplest version. Anyway, McPherson struts in front, semi-independent suspension in the back.

In terms of dimensions, the novelty is comparable to the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. The length of the Honda crossover is 4312 mm, width — 1790 mm, height — 1650 mm, wheelbase — 2650 mm. As part of the presentation, the company allocated Elevate ground clearance — 220 mm. But now, for some reason, the exact indicator is not mentioned: both on the website and in the brochure, it is simply called “first-class”. The trunk volume of the model is 458 liters.

The Honda Elevate is available to the Indians with a single engine — it is a gasoline four-cylinder aspirated 1.5, which produces 121 hp. and 145 Nm. The engine is paired with a six-speed manual or CVT. The drive is exclusively front. Later, the cross may get electrified versions.

There are four configurations to choose from. The base SV has diode optics, 16-inch wheels, a keyless entry system and an engine start button, climate control, a pair of airbags. The next version of the V comes with an 8-inch multimedia system and a rear-view camera. The VX version also includes fog lights, 17-inch wheels, roof rails, a power sunroof, a 7-inch display in the instrument cluster, and wireless charging for a smartphone. Finally, the top version of the ZX has six airbags, multimedia with a 10.25-inch touchscreen and a set of Honda Sensing security systems (adaptive cruise control, auto-braking, marking tracking and blind spot monitoring).

The Honda Elevate is priced between Rs 1,099,900 to Rs 1,599,900, equivalent to approximately Rs 1,300,000 — Rs 1,891,000 the current rate. The base Indian Hyundai Creta is slightly cheaper (1,087,000 rupees or 1,285,000 rubles), but the range of this model is much wider there (there is also a diesel), so there are options and much more expensive Elevate.
