Four victories in one race: final of the Russian racing series G-Drive Racing

The final of the Russian Endurance Racing Series, which took place yesterday at Moscow Raceway, ended in triumph for G-Drive Racing: the team entered the track last, but became the absolute leader of the race.

Technical problems that arose during the morning training forced the team to devote time to troubleshooting. Their car did not take part in qualifying and started the race from the 33rd position of the starting grid. But in just 23 laps, the team’s pilot and sports director Roman Rusinov “combed” the field and took the lead. His teammate Vadim Meshcheryakov, who made his debut in the REC only this year, maintained Roman's pace, which allowed the number 26 crew to be the first to see the checkered flag.

The competition on the track was made more intense by the fact that the team was racing on a sports prototype, which was half as powerful as the 500-horsepower GT3 class cars. However, due to its lower mass and developed aerodynamics, providing a high level of downforce, the prototype was able to win the overall championship. After all, in circuit racing, not only maximum speed on straight lines is important, but also in corners!

As always, the team drove on high-tech G-Drive fuel from the Gazprom Neft gas station network. When used regularly, it cleans the engine and allows it to reach its full potential. Technical support for the team was provided by young specialists from the Moscow Polytechnic University, who are undergoing internships under the joint master's program of the University and G-Drive Racing.

Throughout the entire race, Roman Rusinov was the fastest driver on the track, showing the best time lap — 1.33.794, and by the finish of the race he was already more than a minute ahead of his rivals. The final is a confident and well-deserved victory in the overall standings and at the end of the entire season!

As a result, the crew took 4 victories:
