The Venucia VX6 crossover is designed to revive sales of the joint brand Nissan and Dongfeng

The SUV will be the first full-fledged electric car of the “new wave”. The SUV is expected to go on sale before the end of this year.

The Venucia brand is a joint project between Nissan and Dongfeng; it was created in 2010 specifically for China; the first cars entered the local market two years later. At first, refurbished Nissans were produced under the brand, then original models appeared, including their fully electric versions. This year, Venucia is in deep red: according to BestSellingCarsBlog, 43,777 units were sold from January to August, which is 34% less than the same period in 2022. The brand is trying to revive sales with the help of new products. So, back in July, a hybrid version of the V-Online SUV was launched in the Middle Kingdom, and today a completely new model was announced — the VX6 electrocross.

This “electric train” is positioned precisely as an SUV, although in appearance it looks more like a compact van. The model grew out of the Venucia Ve concept, which was demonstrated at the very end of last year. The commercial crossover received two-tier head optics: running lights, consisting of diode diamonds and triangles, are located on top, and the main headlight blocks are located below. Venucia VX6 also got retractable door handles, and the rear lights were made in the form of a single die.

There are no corporate images of the interior yet, however, the existing pictures show that two separate large screens were installed inside — the instrument panel and the multimedia system.

The manufacturer has not yet announced the characteristics of the Venucia VX6, but the model was previously included in the database of the Chinese Ministry of Industry, so the main introductory information is already known. The length of the electric car is 4658 mm, width – 1890 mm, height – 1656 mm, wheelbase – 2850 mm. The documents from the certification body for the model stated a single electric motor with a capacity of 218 hp. and a lithium iron phosphate battery from CATL (capacity not specified). The maximum speed is only 165 km/h.

The VX6 should make its official premiere before the end of this year. By the way, even at the presentation of the concept, the brand announced that it would no longer develop new cars with only internal combustion engines: all its subsequent models will be electrified in one way or another.
