SC-01 is the brainchild of the young company Small Sports Car (SSC), behind which is Chinese entrepreneur Feng Xiaotong, who previously produced parts for tuning.
Exactly a year ago, Feng Xiaotong personally presented the SC-01 prototype, and today the production version premiered, new technical details were revealed, and the interior was shown for the first time. In terms of aesthetics and general philosophy, the SC-01 unashamedly quotes the rally legend of the 70s — Lancia Stratos, as well as its modern interpretation in the form of the New Stratos coupe, which is manufactured to order by the Italian company Manifattura Automobili Torino (MAT).

Overall length of the serial SC-01 is 4105 mm, width — 1830 mm, height — 1160 mm, wheelbase — 2500 mm. The body is based on a steel tubular frame, to which load-bearing subframes and composite skin are screwed. Suspension — spring, push-rod type, on double wishbones “in a circle”. The diameter of the ventilated brake discs is 350 mm, with 6-piston calipers installed at the front and 4-piston calipers at the rear. Standard tires — Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 dimensions 245/40 ZR 18.

The power plant of the SC-01 consists of two electric motors (one per axle), each producing up to 160 kW (217.5 hp), the maximum total output is 425 hp. and 560 Nm. The battery with a capacity of 60 kWh is located vertically behind the seats of the driver and the only passenger; its full charge is enough for 520 km of driving on the CLTC cycle or 6-8 fast laps on a typical formula circuit. To remove heat from the power plant, fans installed in the stern behind the lanterns are used; “steam” escapes through the grilles surrounding them. The Chinese sports car accelerates to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds. The declared curb weight is 1300 kg.

The interior of the SC-01 has a distinctly old-fashioned design, there is no multimedia screen, the front panel is extremely simple, all the buttons are large and physical (some of the buttons are located under the ceiling), the instrument panel is virtual, but it is stylized as analog. The power plant control washer is located on the central tunnel between the seats, next to it there is a classic handbrake lever. Meanwhile, the equipment includes modern electronic driver assistants that facilitate the daily operation of the sports car.

SC-01 in standard equipment will cost about 300,000 yuan (3.95 million rubles in translation at the current exchange rate), for an additional fee the sports car can be equipped with various accessories and an aggressive aerodynamic body kit made of carbon fiber. SSC wants to sell the SC-01 not only in China, but also in other markets — for example, in Japan, where lightweight and relatively inexpensive sports cars are in good demand.
