The front part of the Chinese four-door was redone. But the stern is the same, the interior has not been touched either. A full presentation will be held in the near future.
The Chery Arrizo 5 sedan has been in service since 2015. Since then, the four-door has been modernized several times; moreover, it has several varieties, which Cherie herself considers to be separate models, and even sells under a different brand: for example, the Omoda S5 and Omoda S5 GT presented in Russia, in fact, “grew” from that the «five» itself. In the spring, the original sedan underwent another restyling, however, curiously, this Arrizo 5 debuted not in its homeland, but in the Middle East. Now a version for the home market has been announced. By the way, only a couple of official images have been posted on the Internet so far, but the updated cars have already been delivered to dealers, so local media photographers clicked them from all sides: among them was the Autohome publication.

The sedan received a new aggressive “face”. The radiator grille has become larger, and instead of shiny “dots” it now features vertical double stripes covered with chrome. Chery Arrizo 5 also received a more massive front bumper with a black insert, the edges of which look like “horseshoes”. At the same time, the four-door retained separate horizontal DRLs. The reforms did not affect the stern. The dimensions are also the same: length – 4572 mm, width – 1825 mm, height – 1482 mm, wheelbase – 2670 mm.
There are no new things inside. As before, Chery Arrizo 5 has analog instruments, a multimedia system with a 9-inch screen built into the front panel, and a touch-sensitive climate control unit, which also has washers.

The Chinese write that in their homeland the updated “five” will be offered with a more powerful engine. We are talking about a 1.5 naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 120 hp. and 148 Nm, and is paired with a CVT. The pre-reform Arrizo 5 is equipped with an engine of the same volume, but with an output of 116 hp. and 143 Nm. In addition to the CVT, the old four-door also has a five-speed manual transmission, but it is not yet known whether such a gearbox remains after the modernization. And the pre-restyling sedan in China comes with a 1.6 gas engine (90 hp, 130 Nm): has this version been retained — again, there is no data yet.

The updated Chery Arrizo 5 is expected to hit the home market in October. Prices have not yet been announced, however, the “five” will certainly retain the title of the brand’s most affordable sedan. The pre-reform model with a manual costs from 59,900 yuan (about 790,000 rubles at the current exchange rate), with a CVT – from 69,900 yuan (922,000 rubles).
