The German manufacturer presented “charged” cross-coupes with indexes 43 and 63 of the new generation. The generation change followed the same scenario as for “hot” SUVs with a traditional body.
Mercedes-Benz launched its mid-size crossover GLC on the market in 2015, and it underwent an update four years later. The second-generation SUV was presented in the early summer of 2022, and the version with a coupe-shaped body and the corresponding addition of Coupe to the name arrived later: it was declassified in mid-March of this year. “Charged” versions of the GLC with a traditional body debuted in July, and now it’s the turn of the cross-coupe, which is presented in the Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 and 63 S E Performance Coupe modifications.

The “hot” crossover was left with the signature Panamericana radiator grille with a pattern of vertical lines, the lower part of the front bumper with integrated air intakes was designed slightly differently, as well as the bottom of the rear with four round (for the version with index 43) and trapezoidal (for version 63) exhaust pipes systems. The optics are similar to the Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe. The charged coupes also have original wheels with a pattern of thin spokes.

Like a crossover with a traditional body, the Mercedes-AMG GLC Coupe, during the generation change, said goodbye to the V6 and V8 engines that the current model is equipped with. The new cross-coupes can only have in-line turbo-fours under the hood, borrowed from the related “hot” sedans and station wagons C 43 4Matic and C 63 S, which were presented last year.
