The “live” premiere of future new products with all-electric “filling” will take place in late October – early November 2023 as part of Japan Mobility Show.
Back in the spring of 2021, Honda announced its decision to abandon the development and use of internal combustion engines by 2040. The Japanese manufacturer has development strategies in a variety of markets, including the largest in the world. Thus, in the same year, Honda introduced the modular electric vehicle platform e:N Architecture, cars on which are intended primarily for China, and in North America the brand is relying on an alliance with General Motors Corporation and the joint use of its modular Ultium platform.

The manufacturer now continues to engage in new projects. Soon, Honda will hold a “live” premiere of three concepts, which (in theory) could later turn into production cars (or, for example, set some new trends in the development of brand design, demonstrate developments in the field of technology, etc.). The debut of new products will take place at the Japan Mobility exhibition, which will be held in late October — early November.
Honda Concept Sustaina-C
So far, the company has announced three new electric cars and officially showed two of them. One of the exhibits will be the Honda Sustaina-C concept. Judging by its appearance, this compact hatchback has adopted a lot from the serial Honda e city car, sales of which started in 2020, but turned out to be quite modest, so the manufacturer decided to cancel the project: it is known that the five-door will not have a second generation.
The Sustaina-C show car is similar to the Honda e due to a similar body silhouette, retro-style exterior design, recognizable round-shaped head optics, as well as a hood with an additional cover, under which, most likely, in a similar way there is a hidden port for charging the traction battery of an electric car.
Honda CI-MEV Concept
It is known that the body of the conceptual three-door is made of acrylic resin: this material can be recycled and then reused. By the way, Honda is going to present at the Japan Mobility Show not only electric cars, but also a couple of scooters, one of them is a folding one, which is called the Pocket Concept. This futuristic concept is made from the same recyclable material.
Another exhibit will be the Honda CI-MEV: this concept is a subcompact two-seater kei car that is equipped with various autonomous driving technologies. It is assumed that this vehicle will be able to be used by people with disabilities. If Honda decides to launch such a car into series, it will be able to compete with minibuses and quadricycles.
Sketch of a sports car in the style of NSX
Another new product, the premiere of which will take place as part of the upcoming exhibition, will be a sports car: the corresponding concept is called Honda Specialty. So far, all that is known about it is that its “filling” will be completely electric. However, the manufacturer has not yet shared images of the “green” supercar, unless, of course, you take the NSX-style sketch as a hint, which can be seen if you look closely at the image of the Honda Dream Loop.
