The five-door is the first production model of another subsidiary brand of the Chinese manufacturer. The new product is offered in the form of a hybrid and a full-fledged electric car.
This year, Changan’s already extensive portfolio was supplemented by another sub-brand – Qiyuan. The brand was created for electrified “intelligent” models, and its first child was the liftback with the A07 index. The public premiere of the new product took place in the summer; a couple of weeks ago, pre-orders were opened in China. Now “live” sales have started. It should be noted that Changan especially liked the liftback body. Thus, the five-door Uni-V is produced under the parent brand (it is also available in Russia), and the range of the Deepal sub-brand (aka Deep Blue or Shenlan) includes the SL03 model. By the way, the latest liftback is the closest relative of the Qiyuan A07. And the concept of the Deepal and Qiyuan brands is very similar.

Be that as it may, the Qiyuan A07 and Deepal SL03 are based on the EPA1 platform. The new liftback is longer and wider than its relative: 4905 and 1910 mm versus 4820 and 1890 mm. The height and wheelbase of the cars are the same — 1480 and 2900 mm, respectively. The trunk volume of the A07 is 384 liters under the shelf; with the second row folded, the volume will increase to 1100 liters (one figure is stated for the SL03 — 473 liters). The Qiyuan liftback “stands” on 18-inch wheels; for an additional fee you can order 19-inch ones.
< p>The exterior design features of the A07 are two-story headlights, frameless doors with retractable handles, and rear lights made in the form of a single strip. The interior is minimalist. There is no separate instrument panel; its role is assigned to the head-up display. A 15.4-inch diagonal multimedia system touchscreen was installed in the center. The liftback also received a “floating” tunnel, on which platforms for wireless charging were placed.
The model also includes a glass roof, heated and ventilated front seats (plus a massager), all-round cameras, adaptive cruise control, auto braking and lane keeping systems. Changan Qiyuan A07 also includes “personalized emotional sound effects”: you can program notifications that will sound when getting into the car or, conversely, when leaving it.

The liftback is offered in the form of a serial hybrid or a full-fledged electric car, both versions are rear-wheel drive, that is, the traction electric motor is located on the rear axle. The technology is the same as that of similar versions of Deepal SL03. The hybrid A07 is equipped with a 218-horsepower electric motor and a 95-horsepower 1.5 naturally aspirated gasoline engine, which is used only to recharge the 28.4 kWh battery. The power reserve of this Qiyuan is 170 km on the WLTC cycle. The electric car has a 258-horsepower engine and a battery with a capacity of 58.1 kWh, a range of 515 km, however, it is calculated according to a more optimistic CLTC cycle.

The hybrid Changan Qiyuan A07 has three trim levels, this liftback will cost 155,900 — 175,900 yuan, which is equivalent to approximately 2,056,000 — 2,319,00 0 rubles at the current rate . The electric five-door is available in two versions for 166,900 and 176,900 yuan (2,201,000 and 2,332,000 rubles). The basic Deepal SL03 costs less (145,900 yuan or 1,924,000 rubles), but this is because the hybrid recently had a new version with a battery capacity of 19 kWh.
About plans to bring the brand Changan has not yet officially entered Qiyuan into foreign markets.
