The premiere of the concepts of the Japanese brand will take place as part of the Japan Mobility exhibition, which will be held in Tokyo at the end of this month.
< p>Japanese companies continue to prepare for the Japan Mobility Show, an event where they will be able to demonstrate their own recent developments in the fields of automotive design and technology. Toyota also plans to present its new products: in particular, the concepts of the FT-Se sports car and the FT-3e crossover will act as exhibits. It is known that both show cars received fully electric filling.
FT-Se concept teaser
The “live” premiere will take place as part of an exhibition in Tokyo, but for now the Japanese manufacturer has decided to tease fans of the brand with several teasers of these concepts. Judging by the published footage, the Toyota FT-Se is a two-door sports car developed by the GR division. The company noted that the creators of this “hot” sports car used the experience that Gazoo Racing has accumulated in motorsport over the past few years.
Judging by the teasers, the FT-Se is not similar to the currently available GR 86 and Supra. The conceptual two-door with a bright orange body has relief shapes, widened wheel arches, a sloping transparent roof and large wheels shod in low-profile tires. This show car also has a large black air intake at the rear, lights in the form of narrow stripes, a GR emblem on the edge of the trunk lid with a spoiler, as well as retractable door handles and small traditional exterior mirrors with black housings. The company has not yet revealed the design of the front part of the Toyota FT-Se.
The interior of the sports car is partially visible in the teasers. Through the glass you can see a large display that acts as a virtual instrument panel, a steering wheel that replaces the traditional steering wheel, and on the sides of the driver there are additional touchscreens with their own functionality. The company did not say anything about the “filling” of the two-door, they only noted that when creating the concept, the developers relied on “stability in control and aerodynamic characteristics.”
Toyota FT-3e concept teaser
The second exhibit of the brand at the Japan Mobility exhibition will be the Toyota FT-3e concept crossover. The teasers show an SUV with an angular body, a perimeter body kit made of glossy black plastic, a large spoiler on the top of the tailgate, and a strongly raked rear window. The show car was equipped with LED taillights in the form of a strip that runs from one rear wing to the other across the entire width of the stern.
The company emphasized that the exterior lines of the Toyota FT-3e were created “as simple as possible.” The concept also received LEDs that are located in the door area; they can display the battery charge level of the electric crossover, as well as the temperature and air quality in the cabin. The manufacturer also did not declassify information about the technology.
Recall that one of Toyota’s developments is an SUV, which will become the successor to the FJ Cruiser. According to preliminary data, this new product may be called Land Hopper. It is possible that the model will have versions with all-electric “filling”, as well as with hybrid installations and even with a traditional gasoline internal combustion engine.
