American satirist Jon Stewart has abandoned a TV streaming deal with Apple after the tech giant reportedly interfered with plans for talks on China and artificial intelligence.
Mr. Stewart, best known for presenting The Daily Show for more than 16 years, will not present the third series of his Apple TV Plus show The Trouble with Jon Stewart, one of the service's most high-profile projects.

According to the New York Times, the comedian told employees that they were parting ways with Apple after executives expressed concerns about the plansshow themes and guests focused on China and artificial intelligence in the upcoming season.
Mr Stewart was reportedly told that he and Apple needed to be «aligned» on topics.
