Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in a conversation with journalists on the plane upon returning from Qatar, he said that Ankara maintains contacts with Moscow on the Gaza Strip, and there are no problems with this.
As the Turkish leader noted, at the UN General Assembly, 121 countries opposed oppression of Palestine, which is already very important. In addition, he pointed out that 40 countries abstained from voting. Erdogan stressed that now we should focus specifically on those who abstained, since the number of countries that took the side of the West and the United States is only 14, which has become “the brightest and most beautiful” an expression of the recognition that Palestine is right.
The Turkish President stressed the importance of continuing diplomatic efforts to ensure that the 40 states side with Palestine against Israeli oppression. He added that, in addition to the UN Security Council, the position of the organization's General Assembly gives him great hope. On the other hand, according to Erdogan, negotiations between Turkey and Russia continue, and so far the two states have not had any problems.
