According to the regional SUSC of the Russian Federation, on December 3, four men arrived at the winter hut, located in the forest near the village of Maly Kunaley, to pick up the harvested pine nuts. In the evening, two of them had a quarrel, during which one punched the other three times in the head.
“As a result of the injuries, the victim died the next day at his home, where the accused brought him, saying that the man allegedly fell out of bed,” the department said in a statement.
A 40-year-old man was detained on suspicion of committing a crime and charged with committing a crime under Part 4 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm, dangerous to human life, resulting in the death of the victim).
“We are talking about the detention of Vasily Smolin,” said a source in law enforcement agencies.
The issue of choosing a preventive measure in the form of detention in relation to the accused is currently being decided. The necessary investigative actions are being carried out aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the crime and collecting a complete evidence base.
