    The actor who played in the TV series Peaky Blinders has died

    MOSCOW, December 7< /strong>British writer, poet, actor Benjamin Zephaniah, who played the role of Jeremiah Jesus in the series “Peaky Blinders,” died at the age of 65, according to a publication on his page on the social network Instagram*.
    “It is with great sadness and regret that we announce the death of our beloved husband, son and brother, who left us in the early morning of December 7, 2023,” the statement said.
    Eight weeks ago, Zephaniah was diagnosed with a brain tumor. He left behind more than a dozen collections of poetry and five novels. His early poetic works were written in dub style, influenced by Jamaican dub music. An ardent opponent of the consequences of colonialism, a fighter against racism and an anti-imperialist, he renounced the Order of the British Empire in 2003.
