General Director of the Moscow hockey club “Wings of the Soviets”, director of the specialized children's and youth sports school of the Olympic reserve (SDUSSHOR) Alena Krylova reported that the incident with a fight at a match between children's teams between the school coach Pavel Platonov and his colleague from the “Red Machine – Junior” team Nikita Illarionov can be considered exhausted.
On Saturday, during a match with “Red Machine – Junior” at a tournament among players born in 2016, Platonov beat Illarionov in front of his students. It was possible to separate the fighters only after the intervention of the judge. After they were separated, the coaches calmly went in different directions. As Illarionov stated, he did not give any reason for the attack and considers Platonov’s behavior undignified. According to the specialist, he had to go to the emergency room for medical help. On Sunday, Krylia Sovetov reported Platonov’s dismissal from the SDYUSSHOR.
“”I think that the incident can be considered settled. I have not yet been able to talk with Nikita Illarionov, I called him yesterday and today, but he does not answer the phone. I talked with representatives of the club. The coach who was injured, “He didn’t have any serious health problems – he doesn’t have a concussion, and yesterday he continued working with his children at the tournament,” Krylova said.
“But, as far as I know, the other side intends to submit an application to the disciplinary authorities about the right of our former coach to continue to carry out his work,” added the general director of the club.
