A case was opened against a Dagestani due to the death of people from electric shock on the roof of a house

MAKHACHKALA, December 20 A resident of Makhachkala became a defendant in a criminal case of causing death by negligence due to the death of a father and son who were carrying out repair work on his roof at home, reported the press service of the investigative department of the RF Investigative Committee for Dagestan.
The accident occurred on November 27. Earlier, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Dagestan reported that in the Makhachkala village of New Kyakhulai, a 64-year-old man and his 34-year-old son were repairing the roof of a private house. By negligence, the father touched nearby wires with his elbow and received an electric shock. Seeing this, the son rushed to help and also received an electric shock. The eldest died before help arrived, the son was hospitalized with serious injuries.
“»A criminal case has been opened against a resident of the village of New Kyakhulai in the city of Makhachkala, suspected of causing the death by negligence of two persons (Part 3 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation),» the message says.
According to the investigation, the suspect hired two residents of the village of New Kyakhulai to perform roofing work in his house. Knowing that the high voltage power line running over the house could pose a danger to them, he did not take precautions and launched them onto the roof. As a result, both died from electric shock.
