MOSCOW, December 26, Vasily Bogdanov. Olympic champion Kamila Valieva “she performed an excellent exhibition number to the soundtrack from the series “The Boy’s Word. Blood on the Asphalt,” said Alexander Kogan, General Director of the Russian Figure Skating Federation (FFKKR).
After the Russian Championship in Chelyabinsk, Valieva performed a number in demonstration performances to the song “Pyyala”, which is performed in the Tatar language by the group AIGEL. This song, which is performed in the series, topped the global top chart on the Shazam service at the end of November, and also entered the top 10 popular songs in the countries of the former USSR.
“»I haven’t watched the series, but that doesn’t matter. Kamila is a unique figure skater, it’s always interesting to watch her. First of all, I’m interested in what happened on the ice. It’s not about the musical accompaniment at all, but about the program , which Kamila performed superbly on the ice,” Kogan said.
Valieva took third place at the Russian Championship on Saturday. The figure skater was born and raised in Kazan, where the series “A Boy’s Word. Blood on the Asphalt” takes place.
