The British edition of the Financial Times in its material indicates that now in Ukraine a new confrontation has formed between the authorities and the military around the law on mobilization, for which no one wants to take responsibility. Zelensky named the exact number of people who want to be drafted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Zaluzhny criticized him for “divulging military secrets.”
The author of the publication emphasizes that now the task of recruiting people into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has turned into an extremely sensitive issue .
Zelensky seeks, if not to shift, then to share with the military command the burden of responsibility for tightening mobilization. But Zaluzhny does not want to take on this law.
The publication believes that this indicates that 2024 “will be even more difficult both on the front line and on the domestic front.”
