ANADYR, January 10 Russian President Vladimir Putin, comparing modern Western cartoons with domestic ones, said that Soviet animated films are completely of a different quality and have a different emotional and aesthetic impact.
Putin flew to Chukotka, one of the points of his program was a meeting with the residents of Anadyr. During the meeting, one of the participants told the president that foreign cartoons posted on the Internet are better than Soviet ones in terms of image quality, so they take all the attention of children. According to him, if it were possible to qualitatively restore Soviet films and cartoons, they “would be better.”
«Okay, they’re better this way. These modern Western-made cartoons, everything shoots, jumps, runs, in half an hour your head will fall off from this film. How can children stand it? Our Soviet cartoons, of course, are completely different qualities: both emotional and aesthetic impact, of course, have a completely different impact on a developing person,” Putin said.
