DONETSK, January 20 At 16.55, Ukrainian troops fired three cluster shells of 155 mm caliber at Donetsk, the DPR representative office at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination reported on the Telegram channel issues related to war crimes of Ukraine (JCCC).
«Shelling was recorded from the AFU in the direction: 16.55 — the settlement of Karlovka — Donetsk (Kuibyshevsky district): three shells with a caliber of 155 millimeters (cassette) were fired,» the department said in a statement.
The representative office also reported that at 14.10 three shells with a caliber of 155 millimeters were fired into the Kuibyshevsky and Kievsky districts of Donetsk, and at 15.30 into the Kievsky district of Donetsk — three shells with a caliber of 155 millimeters.
155 mm artillery is used by NATO countries. The United States supplied Ukraine with long-range howitzers M777 of 155 mm caliber, Ukrainian troops are actively using them to shell the cities of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics. Also, the Ukrainian troops were supplied with German PzH 2000 self-propelled artillery mounts, Polish Krab self-propelled guns and French CAESAR self-propelled guns using shells of this caliber.
