MOSCOW, January 29The general director of the Mosfilm film concern, film director Karen Shakhnazarov, said that he sees no other alternative to the post of President of the Russian Federation other than Vladimir Putin, so this is the third time he has become his confidant.
Previously, the Central Election Commission of Russia registered 544 Putin's proxies, including Shakhnazarov.
“Yes, I agreed to be a confidant, but this is the third time, and this is my position. I don’t see any other alternative except Vladimir Vladimirovich as president. He has done a lot for the country, I don’t see any possibility today of even a hypothetical change of leader “I absolutely consistently supported him and will continue to support him in his nomination,” the director said at a press conference in Moscow.
He emphasized that it is with the figure of Putin that he pins his hopes for victory in the further global historical confrontation with the West. In his opinion, this is about the existence of the country, so he supports the current president.
The Federation Council has scheduled presidential elections for March 17, 2024. Voting will last three days: March 15, 16 and 17.
At the moment, 11 people are vying for the post of head of state. The Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation has registered four presidential candidates — Leonid Slutsky, Nikolai Kharitonov, Vladislav Davankov and Vladimir Putin.
The Central Election Commission must make a decision on registration or refusal of registration in relation to all candidates no later than February 10.
