David Lloyd turned to India, Australia and England — the “big” players of the three' — share your earnings to protect the health of the test game, warning of a future in which countries will only have to play against themselves.
While there were two exciting Test matches on Sunday, with England beating India by 28 runs in Hyderabad and the West Indies recording a sensational eight-run win over Australia at the Gabba, Lloyd remains concerned about the future of the five-day game. With franchise Twenty20 leagues on the rise and players outside the big three increasingly able to earn more from the competition than from Test cricket, Lloyd has called on administrators to share the sport's cash more fairly.
< p>“The authorities have an obligation,” Lloyd said, speaking exclusively on the latest episode of the Vaughany and Tuffers Cricket Club podcast, out now. “When you're growing up as a kid, I want to play Test match cricket, that's what I want to play.
“My personal view is that the big three — England, Australia and India — have an obligation to share the wealth. They get big broadcast deals. The West Indies currently have neither the capacity nor the capacity to secure major broadcasting deals.
“The Big Three have a huge responsibility to ensure that the other Test nations are right financially, because otherwise they will have to play only among themselves.»

Bumble, 76, has had a remarkable career in sports. Having played nine Test matches for England, including 214 not out against India, he worked as a referee, England head coach and then a Sky Sports commentator. He now works for Talksport and will be commentating on the third Test.
Lloyd has long been aware of the talents of his fellow Lancastrian Tom Hartley, who led England to a 7-62 victory last Sunday. He said he urged Rob Key, England's managing director, to select Hartley for the Test tour of India because he believed his qualities would be well suited to the task.
“He's got a good stock, Tom Hartley is his The background is pretty stable,” Lloyd said.

“They have captured the imagination of all cricket fans,” Lloyd added. «I think they've really gotten under the skin of Australians because they're still talking about it.
