Democrats are urging their voters not to vote for Nikki Haley in the South Carolina primary over fears she will beat Joe Biden for the White House.

With Biden considered a safe candidate for the presidency, Democrats in South Carolina may be tempted to skip the Democratic primary in favor of the Republicans and cast their ballot for Ms. Haley in hopes of cutting their chances against Donald Trump.
Democrats, however, in the southeastern state are telling residents that voting for Ms. Haley would be a mistake because she would be a more formidable opponent against Mr. Biden than Mr. Trump.
“Mother of MAGA”
In January, Democratic leaders parties have focused their efforts on dissuading voters from favoring Ms. Haley by calling her the “mother of the MAGA movement.”
Colleen Condon, a gay woman and the first nonbinary vice chair of the South Carolina Democratic Party, told party members at the dinner that “I had to sue her to get her married,” adding, “Don’t let your girlfriend vote in this primary. Please.”
In a February 2023 New Hampshire town hall, Haley criticized Ron DeSantis's infamous «Don't Say Gay» measure he introduced in Florida, saying it didn't go «far enough.»
«Basically, it said gender issues should not be discussed until third grade [fourth year],” the Republican presidential candidate said. «Sorry, I don't think it goes too far.»
Ms Haley went on to say that third grade, when the child will be around eight or nine years old, is too young to talk about gender .
While there is no indication that a significant number of Democrats are leaning toward voting for Ms. Haley, those considering supporting her believe they should at least consider it because how uncooperative they are According to The New York Times, this is its own primary.
Ms. Haley is effectively the last candidate standing between Mr. Trump and the nomination, but she has a strong chance in her home state.
