A St. Petersburg resident armed with a pistol bit into food in a supermarket
The police detained a resident of St. Petersburg who came to the store with a pistol and bit into food. According to the Fontanka publication, the incident occurred at a retail outlet on Dachny Prospekt.
Seeing the unusual visitor, the seller pressed the panic button. Police officers who arrived at the scene saw a man in the store with a pistol and a knife — he was threatening the employees of the outlet.
Supermarket workers said that the man walked along the display cases and bit into products; at the checkout he agreed to pay only for some of them.
Later, law enforcement officers clarified that the pistol that was with the visitor turned out to be a pneumatic version of the PM. They also found two types of knives on him — a folding knife and a butcher knife.
After the arrest, it became known that the man had previously been convicted of theft, possession of weapons and murder.
