YAKUTSK, February 5 A criminal case was opened after the death of two young children as a result of a fire in a private house in the village of Verkhnevilyuysk in Yakutia, reports the press service of the Russian SUSK for the region.
It was previously reported that children born in 2018 and 2021 died as a result of a fire in a private house.
As the Investigative Committee specified, two brothers, 2 and 5 years old, were taken to the intensive care unit with burns and signs of carbon monoxide poisoning. Despite the efforts of doctors, they could not be saved.
«The Vilyui interdistrict investigative department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Criminal Investigation Department for the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 3 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (causing death by negligence of two persons) , regarding the death of children in a fire in the village of Verkhnevilyuysk. Currently, within the framework of the criminal case, the necessary investigative actions are being carried out aimed at establishing the causes and circumstances of the incident,» the press service said.
