The average bill for purchases in installments turned out to be three times larger than the average bill for purchases paid with a bank card in the same stores. This is the conclusion reached by Tinkoff Credit Broker, a service for issuing installment plans and POS loans.
The company analyzed purchases of Russians paid by installments and by bank card. It turned out that when paying by bank card, the average bill for purchasing goods and services is 21,589 rubles, and when paying in installments in the same stores — 61,181 rubles. Thus, the average receipts for purchases paid for in two ways differ by almost three times.
The difference between the average receipts is most noticeable in the segment of purchases up to 10 thousand rubles: for purchases in installments they are 10.4 times more than when purchasing with a card; in the range of up to 20 thousand rubles — 4.1 times; in the range of over 40 thousand rubles. 2.6 times.
In terms of product categories, the largest difference is between average receipts observed in the electronics segment. In this segment, the average bill for purchases in installments is almost 7.5 times larger than the average bill for payments by card (54,375 versus 7,271 rubles).
In second place is fitness, in which the average the receipt for purchases in installments is 7.3 times larger than the average receipt for payment by card (RUB 29,006 versus RUB 3,959). In third place are stores selling jewelry, where the average bill for purchases in installments is almost 5 times higher than the average bill for payments by card (36,085 versus 7,326 rubles).
In the sporting goods segment The average bill for purchases in installments is 3.5 times larger than the average bill for card payments (RUB 37,471 versus RUB 10,643), in the education segment by 3 times (RUB 88,441 versus RUB 29,350) and 2 times more for furniture sales.
