BLAGOVESCHENSK, February 6< /strong> Artist of the Amur Regional Drama Theater Alexander Simonets, known for his roles in the TV series “Friendly Family”, “Happy Together” and “Capercaillie”, died at the age of 62 in Blagoveshchensk, according to the theater’s website.
“We regret to inform you that today, February 6, artist of the Amur Regional Drama Theater Alexander Simonets died suddenly,” the message says.
It is noted that the Amur audience remembered Simonets in the comedic role of the Georgian prince Vano Pantiashvili in the production of “Khanuma” and in the role of the ironic Igor, the father of the family from the play “Scales” by Evgeny Grishkovets.
For more than 20 years, the artist served at the Moscow Academic Theater of Satire. He also worked at the Moscow theater-studio «Benefit». From 2001 to 2004, Simonets played the main role in the stickom “Friendly Family”; he also played episodic roles in the series “My Fair Nanny”, “Happy Together”, “Capercaillie” and many others.
