The premium SUV of the Chinese brand is now available for online ordering. The model in the Russian Federation will be offered as an all-wheel drive rechargeable hybrid.
The Wey brand belongs to the Chinese concern Great Wall; it became known last fall that it was entering the Russian market. The large crossover Wey 05 opens the local line of the brand: live sales of the new product will begin next week, February 21, and now those interested can place an online order using the GWM Store application.

Recall that it was decided to entrust the sales and service of Wey models to Tank dealers (this Chinese brand also belongs to the Chinese concern GWM). The cost of the launch version of the premium crossover Wey 05 is already known: as told at the local Great Wall representative office, the purchase will cost at least 6,499,000 rubles.
Wey 05 is a rechargeable hybrid, the PHEV-installation is based on a gasoline 2.0-liter turbo engine developed by GWM, working in tandem with two electric motors: one is integrated into a nine-speed robot with two wet clutches, the second is located on the rear axle. The total maximum output of the system is 421 hp and the torque is 847 Nm.
This crossover takes five seconds to accelerate from zero to “hundreds”, and its top speed is 220 km/h. Average fuel consumption is 7.7 liters per 100 km. The lithium-ion battery is installed under the floor, its capacity is 39.7 kWh. When driving in pure electric mode, the range without recharging is 185 km.
You can quickly charge the battery from 0 to 80% in 53 minutes, and a full slow “electric charge” from 0 to 100% takes about 3 hours 50 minutes. The car has three regenerative braking modes available – low, standard and strong (allows you to charge the battery when braking). The Wey 05 has an independent MacPherson strut suspension with anti-roll bar at the front and an independent multi-link at the rear.
The equipment list includes all-LED headlights with automatic high beam control, tilt adjustment and headlight delay function, as well as heated windshield and exterior mirrors. The salon received a 12-speaker sound system, a 9.2-inch diagonal virtual instrument panel, a 14.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, as well as a 9-inch touchscreen unit for controlling the climate control, heated seats for all seats, a heated steering wheel and a massage function .

The interior is designed for five passengers, the seats are trimmed with Alcantara, in total there are three color options available — black-brown, gray-blue and black. The driver's seat has a memory function and is electrically adjustable in eight directions, while the passenger seat is electrically adjustable in four directions. The rear seats have an electric folding function; when the sofa is folded, the trunk volume increases from 371 to 1229 liters. Note that the Wey 05 was equipped with a full set of airbags, including an airbag between the front seats, as well as knee protection.

It is worth noting that in its homeland this crossover has been available since 2021, here it is sold under named Wey Mocca (or Mocha, read “Mocca”), and in 2023 the model underwent restyling. At the same time, in Russia, as well as in other export markets, the company sells a pre-reform SUV.
