Donstroy began certification of its flagship project “Island” in the Mnevnikovskaya floodplain according to Green Zoom green standards, confirming the high level of environmental friendliness and energy efficiency of buildings under construction.
“Ostrov” is a large-scale project being built in the Mnevnikovskaya floodplain. The houses are surrounded by the Moscow River and the Filevsky, Suvorovsky and Krylatsky Hills natural parks. A self-sufficient infrastructure will be created here, including four large social clusters with schools and kindergartens. Kilometers of paths for Nordic walking, jogging and leisurely walks will be laid along the boundaries of the project and the nature conservation area.
Ostrova houses have the highest energy efficiency class (“A” and higher), which is achieved through a whole range of modern technical solutions. In particular, it provides automatic adjustment of heating power depending on the outside temperature, in addition to a comfortable microclimate in the house at any time of the year, this can significantly reduce resource consumption. And for future residents of the house, this also means a reduction in monthly utility costs. An additional effect is provided by improved thermal insulation characteristics of translucent structures and facades made of environmentally friendly materials. The house also uses energy-saving lighting, including lamps with built-in motion sensors in staircases and in corridors on the floors.
Design solutions provide for the creation of a comfortable environment, the preservation of the existing ecosystem, and the creation of conditions for its development (separate waste collection, recycling). The design code for the project was developed by the architectural bureau LDA Design. “Ostrov” will become the first residential complex in Russia where a 5G network will appear.
A large number of urban sports facilities will appear near the project: from a swimming pool, outdoor tennis courts to a large surfing park. Future residents will fully appreciate the transport accessibility of the Island. The Terekhovo and Mnevniki metro stations have already opened on the territory. The Moscow City business center is a 10-minute drive away, and the Garden Ring is a 15-minute drive away. Moreover, the necessary infrastructure for the use of eco-transport will be created in the neighborhoods.
Green Zoom is a rating system for assessing sustainable development in construction. It consists of both mandatory recommendations and those selected by the working group assessing the object. Depending on the number of points scored, an object receives a certificate of a certain level — from bronze to platinum. Experts will check the Island’s neighborhoods for compliance with more than seventy indicators, including energy efficiency, resource conservation, quality of the urban environment, safe public space, innovation and many others.
Green Zoom certificates have already been awarded to two Donstroy projects: “Saturday” and “Olive House”.
