MOSCOW, March 1 Choreographer Alexey Zheleznyakov in his Telegram channel reported that Russian figure skater Daria Usacheva, who had completed her career, joined the coaching staff of the AJ studio.
In September 2023, Usacheva announced the end of her sports career. Then the athlete said that she wanted to concentrate on passing the Unified State Exam.
«»We have great news. Now our training camps will be held not only in a dance format. Today we have an excellent base, a new ice palace with a luxurious sports and dance hall. At the ice palace there is a hotel, a dining room and a cafe, everything within walking distance. Moreover, the membership of our training camp will include meals and accommodation on the territory of the skating rink,» Zheleznyakov wrote.
According to Zheleznyakov, his studio’s training camp will be held in the Rostov region from June 3 to June 14. The coaching staff of the studio included Zheleznyakov, Usacheva, coach Artem Zelenovsky and figure skater Victoria Nesterova.
““This is a completely new approach to figure skaters’ sports training, where much attention will be paid not only to the technical component and gliding, but also to the choreographic preparation of athletes. Our goal is to take the athlete to a completely new level of skating,” added Zheleznyakov.
In November, Zheleznyakov left the group of figure skating coach Eteri Tutberidze. He collaborated with the coach throughout his career in Russia. The specialist practiced dance exercises with all of her award-winning students, including Evgenia Medvedeva, Alina Zagitova, Anna Shcherbakova, Alexandra Trusova, Kamila Valieva.
